How TCOS social publishing works

TCOS helps trading-card creators prepare and publish original content through official platform interfaces—with clear authorization, review, and status tracking.

The creator stays in control.

TCOS does not request a platform password. Account access is granted through YouTube or TikTok, can be revoked, and is used only for creator-facing publishing functions.

The end-to-end workflow

1. Select original contentChoose a finished video created or owned by the creator.

2. Review publishing detailsReview title, caption, description, audience, scheduling details, and destination.

3. Authorize the accountThe platform displays its own consent screen and the permissions TCOS is requesting.

4. Confirm and sendThe creator makes the final publishing choice before TCOS transfers the content.

5. Track the resultTCOS records the upload or publishing status and surfaces failures for creator review.

YouTube integration

When enabled, TCOS may use the YouTube Data API to upload creator-selected videos, set creator-approved metadata and privacy settings, read the authenticated channel identity, and confirm the resulting upload status. Read-only YouTube access supports the user-facing connected-channel view by allowing TCOS to show which channel is connected and retrieve its video metadata and processing information. Upload-only access cannot read this existing channel information. If the creator enables reporting features, TCOS may also retrieve channel or video performance information through authorized YouTube interfaces.

TCOS requests only the permissions needed for the enabled feature. It does not publish to a YouTube channel until the channel owner has completed Google’s authorization process and confirmed the content and publishing details.

TikTok integration

When enabled, TCOS may use TikTok Login and the Content Posting API to identify the authorized creator account, display available publishing choices, transfer a creator-selected video, and check its processing status. TikTok’s available privacy and interaction options are presented to the creator before posting.

Where TikTok requires a final action inside TikTok, TCOS sends the content as a draft rather than representing it as publicly published.

What TCOS does not do

  • TCOS does not ask for or store YouTube or TikTok passwords.
  • TCOS does not sell platform data or use it for advertising.
  • TCOS does not upload unrelated files from the creator’s computer.
  • TCOS does not use Google user data to train generalized artificial-intelligence models.
  • TCOS does not silently connect another channel or expand permissions without authorization.

Connection controls

Creators can disconnect a platform in TCOS and can independently revoke TCOS from their Google or TikTok account settings. Revocation stops new API access. See Data controls and deletion for removal instructions.
